Chicagoland (City/North) – Associate Employment Attorney

We seek an attorney with more than 3 years’ experience in employment counseling and litigation. Savine Employment Law, Ltd. is committed to becoming the leading boutique employment law firm in the Chicagoland area.  The position will work directly with the owner, attorneys and staff to help our clients. We love to help people learn, grow and lead.  The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative on work that needs to be done and complete tasks with minimal hand holding. This attorney will serve as a business advisor to clients, guiding them in a full range of legal matters throughout their life cycle.  The attorney will manage direct client interaction, gain business development experience, and hold significant responsibility for complex, sophisticated legal matters.   

The candidate should be experienced in employment counseling and litigation in a private practice setting. The ideal candidate has experience counseling clients on employment-related decision-making, employment agreements, and developing and maintaining employment policies, practices, procedures, and training programs that comply with multi-jurisdictional legal requirements.  

The candidate should also have experience handling federal and state labor and employment litigation and private arbitrations. The ideal candidate can handle certain aspects of litigation with minimal supervision such as interviewing witnesses; reviewing and managing electronically stored documents; drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; handling the discovery process; interacting with clients and with opposing counsel and attending court.  

The ideal candidate can work as part of a team while also having the confidence and demeanor to assume individual responsibility for matters involving direct client interaction.

  • Law degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Illinois immediately 
  • More than 3 years’ experience in employment litigation and counseling

  • Strong organizational, time management, project management and research skills

The associate attorney will be expected to work a full-time schedule managing a robust caseload.
